Léigh Liom Readers

A diverse collection of fiction and non-fiction books, tailored to early readers, with emphasis on sight words. With 60 titles already completed and 30 more in the pipeline, each set of 15 titles cater to a specific reading level, starting from beginners. The aim is to instil a sense of accomplishment in children as they complete each story.

Covering a broad spectrum of topics, these stories are designed to resonate with young readers, fostering relatability and engagement. Wild Apple Design worked on the schemes identity, covers, inside pages, as well as helping select and manage the new illustrators.

Cover Design

The bookmark motif is strategically positioned to the right on the front cover, while it’s centered on the back cover. This deliberate placement serves to highlight the brand and reading level, drawing attention to these key elements.

Each levels color scheme incorporates two tones: a brighter primary tone and darker secondary tone. This dual-tone approach adds depth and visual interest to the design, enhancing the overall appeal and aesthetic.

The curved strip, in level colour wraps both the back and front cover, adding a pleasing aesthetic and ideal location to house barcodes, the Folens Logo and other level relevent information. This curved shape is mirrored on the inside pages as a neat text holder.
